I’m not just a backup plan for her—I’m her loyal lapdog, always waiting in the wings. She’s cold and unfeeling, yet somehow manages to leave a trail of broken hearts wherever she goes, splitting up couples left and right. When her family pressed her to get married, she decided she needed someone dependable. Naturally, I was the perfect candidate.
